LE Tribute Gin

This Gin is in a league of it own, and if you have never tried it, you are in for a treat...!

Let's begin by telling you, LE Tribute Gin is made by the same team as Master’s Selection Dry Gin and Gin MG. Does this not set any bells of? OK then - how about if we say, that this team also makes Gin Mare? The teams name is Destilierias MG, and I think we now have established, they create very nice Gins, right? 

LE Tribute is their TOP Gin, created as a Tribute to the Gin (and liquer) making process, heritage and traditions. LE is short for Liquid Experience, setting quite high expectations for the product...!

What makes this Gin so special, is both the list of botanicals used, as well as the way it's created. And lets begin with the latter - it is destilled 7 times....!! On the top of our heads, we can't think of any other Gins being destilled this many times, each time extracting the best part of each of the different botanicals.

And about the botanicals - 8 of the 10 (known) botanicals, are from the citrus family. They are lime, orange zest, kumquat, lemon zest (being used twice in the process actually) , mandarine, pink & green grapefruit and lemongrass. The only non-citrus botanicals in the Gin, are juniper (ofcourse) and cardamon.

This - combined with the 7 destillations - makes a extremely fresh and light summer Gin, which is at the same time very complex. To begin with, very crisp and ofcourse dominated by the various citrus notes. Then after a while you get a more dry feel (from the grapefruit?) as well as the cardamon touching thing of, leaving you with a sweet inpression. The junipers are present both in the nose and in your mouth, but are subtle and in no way dominating.

Lastly we just need to comment the bottle, which makes you think of a artdeco flacon. It is insanely beautiful, with a heavy metal cap to keep the fumes from leaving the bottle as well as finishing of the flask. It's in a league of its own....!

We LOVE this Gin both neat, and especially as a Gin & Tonic paired with LE Tribute Tonic (same bottle design) made by Destilierias MG as well.
